Spencer was an extraordinary golden retriever. He was originally trained to be in movies but was too interested in getting attention from everyone on set so he had an early retirement. After his owners gave him away, we adopted Spencer in 2006 at the age of 8 1/2 years old. He was the studio dog / mascot for Grind Music & Sound, which mainly entailed greeting clients, getting pets and showing off his tennis balls, of which he could hold 3 at one time. He was also a pet therapy dog for Northridge Hospital in Los Angeles, California.
Spencer passed away from cancer February 17, 2009, shorty before his 11th birthday.
He is missed and remembered with many smiles.
Spencer was one of the pioneer dog bloggers. His blog has been moved to Dog By Nature.
