This weekend was a lot of fun with Kona and we hope everyone had a wonderful weekend themselves. Kona has a small, um, ok, rather large, squirrel obsession and spent a fair bit of time on the lookout for the sneaky guys. He has his usual yard patrol in the mornings and then we went to a couple of parks where he enlisted help on a scouting mission.
Kona enjoyed a few games of frisbee and some tennis ball retrieves. In the past few weeks he has become very playful and it is a lot of fun for us. It’s also a reminder that rescues take some time to return to their true nature. Kona is coming up on 2 months with us and as he relaxes, he reveals more and more of his true self to us.
After all that activity, Kona snuggled up on the sofa for a nap. He’s a dog that lives by the motto “Play hard, sleep hard”.
PS
We just wanted to leave a note that we can’t leave messages on our friend blogs who have the account pull down thingy. (Like Sierra Rose‘s comment form). We’ve tried evey which way with them but with no luck, those forms just don’t like us. So we are thinking of you we just can’t leave a message to let you know.
Maybe I should start another blog and this time call it, “Sleeping Dog – Dancing Kitten!” You can be the sleeping dog. We love you Kona!
Love the peaceful, content, sleeping photos…
Kona is becoming a bright, shining star. Every time our momma sees him she smiles and falls in love just a little bit more?
It’s so wonderful to share Kona’s progress. You love for him just oozes through! He really is a beautiful boy!

Hi again!
So glad you got to hang out with Sammie! AND, eat cookies! Woowee.
Hugs and snaggle-tooth kisses,

Kona you are beautiful and you are lucky to have owners with such an eye for photography. I’m glad you’re feeling more at home. So happy for you!
Kona, you are one talented fella…trainin’ the peeps to look for squirrels with ya. We LOVE the motto play hard, sleep hard. Our peeps say me and the fellas have two modes – on and off and nothin’ in between.
Great pictures!
Don’t you just love fighting with cranky Blogger? ;)
You take the best pictures! (Ok, I think I say that every single time, lol). How wonderful that Kona is settling in and blossoming. He’s a beautiful boy :)
I have the same problem with the drop-down menu account blogs. I have to switch from Firefox to Safari in order to get it to work.
On the other hand, great picts! :)
Hi!!!!! Kona, you look so comfy there!!! We imagine you are meeting Sammie and family just about now!!?? Hope you are having a ball..Sammie LOVES squirrel hunting and ball play, so we are sure you two will get along famously!
