We do. Kona is officially adopted….by us. Yes, once again we are “foster failures” and we couldn’t be happier about it:)
We love all our fosters but there was something extra special about Kona for us. There was an instant connection, a certain something that you can’t quite put your finger on but you know in your heart…he’s the one….the one you cannot let go of. You can’t rationalize it. This is pure instinct and we trust this feeling because it’s been right before. Kona is a long lost friend…the one you haven’t seen in years but pick up with like you never missed a minute. It feels like he’s always been here the way he fits right in and we are overjoyed to have him join our little family. We’re looking forward to years of fun with Kona and helping him blossom into his true Golden being.

Yea for you Kona! Our humans are also foster failures – two of us came from Golden Retriever Rescue of the Rockies and one of us moved here as a gift to our Mom from a friend of hers who has show Goldens. We are very happy you found your forever family and wish you a long happy time with them.

YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! This is just fantastic news for all of you. It is truly a gift when you know they are the ones for you. I knew the minute I saw my golden girl that it was the two of us against the world. Oddly enough, it was the same when I got my next golden girl. I could not imagine my life without them. Congrat’s on being foster failures – I think it is just great! Kona could not have been luckier!!!!
So very happy for all three of you!!!! I can tell by your words describing your feelings about Kona, how very right this adoption is for the whole family. Just found your site, we have had Goldens for over 35 years and they are the greatest. We presently have our 5th & 6th Hamish & Sophie. Sophie is our first rescue, but we are very much into rescue and she will not be our last.
Keep up the good work, Kona is a very lucky Golden. People who are foster failures are some of the best people we know.

Just as everyone else has been saying ~ when I first saw Kona he reminded me SOOO much of Spencer and I kept thinking that Kona should be yours. He will never “replace” Spencer, he just fills another part of your heart :) We are so happy for Kona and for you all!!
