Kona

Yesterday we said goodbye to Luke as he left in a transport up to Homeward Bound in an effort to find him the perfect forever home. He had a great time before he left with lots of pets, a massage and some treats (lo cal!). We’re sure some lucky family will fall in love with him as soon as they meet him.

Our new foster is Kona, a 5 year old sweetheart who also just lost his family. Kona has a super cute Golden smile, he even has little curves at the corners of his mouth.

Like all our foster dogs, he got a bath and grooming on arrival. In the heat Los Angeles is currently having, he was dry in about 10 seconds after a good shake.

All fluffed up, Kona checked out the yard. He is a little nervous and comes to you for reassurance. His previous world was not very large so Kona is learning how to explore. We’re going to help him gain some confidence and show him how to have lots of fun all over the place.

Kona is a very handsome boy with a big smile and we’re happy to have him here.

  4. Hey M&S,
What a GRReat looking Golden Kona is. He seem like he’s settling in OK. Any major medical concerns with this guy. We dropped $215 at the vet yesterday for Sophie. She has skin allergies has it’s been driving her nuts the last week or so. Prednisone seems to help; we had some residual from a Jubal hot spot episode. Anyway, Sophie is on Prednisone and two antibiotics. Ann Marie is doing everyone’s shots now except for rabies which VA law says has to be done by a vet. So allthey need at the vets is an annual wellness and heartworm blood test.. Ben, a three legged Golden up north a way, is associated with Homeward Bound. There are 4 rescues in their pack and I gather that they do transports for Homeward Bound:

I have open wordpress and looked it over. I don’t really grasp it yet. Maybe I should just drop some $ and get one set up that is a turn key operation. I’ll be out in Tucson this week scour the dessert for aircraft parts and places to store some aircraft manufacturing tooling. I’m trying to get the posts for the week scheduled.
