This year I was asked to be the photographer for the Golden Retriever Club of Greater Los Angeles Rescue‘s calendar. So over the past week, I drove all over Los Angeles to meet some awesome Goldens and their people. There were many cookies, laughs and lots of Golden smiles during the sessions, as I tried to capture each pups personality.
This is Brian, a lovely lad who made his way from Taiwan to find his forever home here in LA. These are a few of my favorites from our session.
That is one big guy! It’s amazing seeing the breeding difference in the Goldens that come from over seas. :)
We love such a variety of Goldens…no 2 are exactly alike:)
Wow, great shots of a handsome gent. Brian has traveled a lot more than me with a
long trip like that behind him. He is lucky to have a chance for a new wonderful life.
Thanks Taria. Brian is definitely living the good life after all his travels:)
These are very nice photos Michelle. I think you’ve done a great job and I can’t wait to see the rest of them.

Thanks very much Vanessa. I’m busy editing to get the rest ready for press.
What a handsome guy – I’d love to know more about his story… Why the big trip from Taiwan?
Sam
Thanks Sam. These dogs come from Taiwan because they are abandoned on the streets when people no longer want them. Over 80,000 dogs a year are euthanized there. It’s harder to find homes for them with smaller properties and such, so rescues there work with rescues here to help find the bigger dogs home.
