Larry has settled in nicely and we are getting to know this great guy. He is a moderate energy dog, happy to sleep at your feet while you work after a good morning walk and play. Larry is a bit overweight right now and he might feel a little more frisky once he gets to his ideal weight.
He is very observant, and watches everything. He is content to watch birds and squirrels in the yard, but has made no attempt to chase them.
Given a chewie, he was more interested in hiding it than chewing it. He tried several spots around the yard over an hour and then decided to stash it in a corner in the house. At bedtime, he found the chewie and tucked it safely into the corner near his bed.
Larry is a velcro dog and sticks to his people like glue. He wants to be near you all the time, which is not a problem because he is very well behaved. I’m sure he would be an very good dog to take to work or an excellent therapy dog.
At night, Larry tends to be a bit of a couch hog and he would love to snuggle up to his people in bed, although he sleeps nicely on a big comfy bed of his own at night.
Larry is a great dog and would do well in a home where someone is home all day or where he could go to work with his people. If you are interested in adopting this awesome boy, please contact Homeward Bound.
He looks like a sweetheart :)
Oh he is:)
Gosh, he really is a beautiful dog. How old is he and do you know his story?
Cheers from BC.
Thanks cowgirl, he certainly is. Larry was freed from an LA area shelter and they said he is about 4 years old, although I think he might be about 6.
Yeah Larry! He looks so love-able :)
Thanks Courtney, he’s a total lovebug:)
