Spending quality time with Kona outside…
and in….
Kona is slowing down this week and we are spending every second with him to make him comfortable and happy. His spirits are still high but his body is not co-operating. He is still demanding belly rubs though…always a good thing:)
Thanks again to all of you for all your love and support.- M, S & Kona
No matter how much time we have with those that we love, there are always more days that we wish for…
These moments are truly golden…
Sam
And we love each and every one of them:)
And so I keep coming here, everyday. I want to see how he’s doing. I sit down by the computer and my heart starts speeding away, crossing my fingers for Kona, hoping that he is feeling ok. I read your words, I see his pictures and I can’t help looking at Pipa. We do not know what’s happening to them, inside. If there’s something wrong, if there is a desease, silently, deciding their destiny. All we know is that we love them so. They give us joy, they spread that doggie love that gives us strength and peace.
I keep repeating, while I fight my tears for Kona’s fight, that it’s so unfair. Even if we know that it will happen one day, it so unfair.
Kona, hang in there! We think of you everyday in Portugal!
Love and kisses,
Pipa, Carla and John

Thank you Farley & family…Kona is getting more rubs right now:)
You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I have grown to love all of you through your blog over the years. I have lost 2 Goldens to cancer in the last 2 1/2 years and it is so hard as Goldens are so stoic and want to please us even when we know they have to feel pretty crummy. We have a 2 1/2 year old and a 7 mo old now and I wonder what I can do to save our dog friends from this dreaded disease. Great strides are being made with treatments, but what can we do to keep them from getting cancer at all? Please give Kona a puppy hug from us. He is lucky to have you and I know you feel blessed to have had such a great friend for 2 years. love and hugs Judy with Grady and Duffy in Colorado
Thank you Judy and we’re so sorry about your 2 lost Goldens. I wish we could find a way to prevent cancer altogether. Kona says thanks for the puppy hugs:)
