Whew, almost didn’t make it this week…Kona hikes Joshua Tree National Park first thing in the morning after camping overnight. Our tent is behind the giant rocks over the top of Kona’s head. They are easily 30 feet tall. In the summer the temperatures rarely fall below 85F at night with highs of well over 100F, but it was a chilly 42F last night and 58F during the rest of the day. Winter is the only time to visit the park with a dog:)
Are you sure that’s not Mars? It looks like you are in an outer space movie set :)
Ha, ha, you’re right it does look like outer space Farley!
Beautiful photo! Indian Cove area or farther into the park? Looks like you had some fabulous weather!
Sweet hugs,
Sierra Rose
Thanks Sirra Rose! We camped at White Tank campground, very small and quite, nestled among the rocks. It was cold and a bit windy but good weather for exploring:)
GORGEOUS photo!!!!
