After a really great time roaming around New Zealand in a van for a month, life is getting back to normal here at home. I went to a dog agility even last weekend to learn about how that all works. The dogs had a lot of fun running the courses and it made me laugh how some of them barked as they went over / through each obstacle-like they were having such a good time they just had to shout it out. The next thing on my list is to go to a field trial when they start up when the weather cools down here.
I have been continuing to practice my photography. The trip was great for that, as I was shooting everyday and in some very difficult situations. So I was able to learn a lot and put into practice a lot of things I’ve been studying. While practicing some studio lighting techniques I was able to borrow the neighbor’s dog, Duke, to be my model. Duke is a large Mastiff with maybe a touch of boxer thrown in and was very well behave around all the equipment. I liked the structure of his head and how the fur on his neck has such interesting texture to it. Of course you know there is a cookie off to the right, which has Duke’s devoted attention:)
Duke is a hunk! What a great model. Hey, I’d smile for a cookie too! Great pic.
Thanks Taria!
He definitely is a handsome boy.
