At the start of the year, we fostered 5-year-old bonded golden sisters Sydney & Bella for a few days, while they waited to catch a ride up to Homeward Bound.

Sydney wasn’t able to run and play with her sister because she was in such pain, due to bilateral torn anterior cruciate ligaments(knees), in both legs. As soon as the pair arrived at Homeward Bound, Sydney had surgery on one knee, and after a six-week recovery period, she had surgery on her second knee. During Sydney’s recovery period, a couple came to meet the girls, promptly fell in love and adopted Sydney and Bella.

We are so happy Sydney got the surgery she needed and that she and Bella will be able to catch up on their play time in their new home. These love bugs are sure to provide plenty of smiles to their new family!
