Happiness is in the little things…

Happiness is getting an update about a foster.

Some of you may remember a long time ago we fostered a little puppy named Niko.

He was smart as a whip and had razor sharp puppy teeth:)

Niko was only with us a few days until he caught a ride up to Homeward Bound but he was a lot of fun while he was here.

The other day we received an update on Niko.

Here he is 2 1/2 years later, looking dashing and living the good life in northern California, with a family who adores him. Niko is also quite the traveller, accompanying his family on trips in the RV.

A lot of people ask, “Isn’t it hard fostering when you have to eventually say goodbye?

This is it. The payoff for a few tears of leaving.

Knowing they go to loving homes, where they get to live out the life they deserve, loved and adored.

PS: Sorry we haven’t been around much lately, work schedules have been very busy, but we hope to be around more for the summer.

  1. Thanks for the GReat update!

Fostering is such a awesome way to save twice since for every foster, it creates another space for saving another tail in need of a HOME!

Right now, I can’t really have another SO that is why I do the transports – our way of giving back and pawing it FURward as we say –

Please do pass along our best wishes to Ben and The Fellas – we miss them!

    • Thanks Khyra & Mom.We’re glad you can do transport, it takes a lot of people to make rescue work and everyone’s part helps the dogs, which is what it’s all about.
