Five days with Larry, and he has settled in nicely. He is now coming to work with me, where he loves to get pets from clients and then he snoozes while we work. After work, Larry enjoys some fun and games, his favorite is chasing things….balls, stuffies and frisbees. He is very good at catching them and bringing them back but likes to play a good game of “keep away” before relinquishing his toy. He is very alert and always ready for you to throw a toy.
Larry play growls when he plays keep away, but it is all in good fun. I have taken toys out of his mouth when he stands still long enough. We’re trying to get him slimmed down to his ideal weight, so lots of running around the yard and walks are on Larry’s schedule. He loves to go for walks and gets very excited when he sees the leash.
After some exercise, Larry is content to hang with you (he’s practically sitting in my lap here). At night his favorite thing is to snuggle up next to you on the sofa. Larry also enjoys getting massages and being brushed.

He’s a pretty boy! I’ve enjoyed catching up on his first few days. Sam whines too sometimes during rides – we’ve discovered it is his quiet way of saying “I’ve gotten too excited, and I need to do some business” – we usually pull over and let him out and then we are good to go!
Sam
Thanks Sam, he is a cutie:) We’ll have to try your advice, maybe that’s what Larry is trying to tell us.
Larry is one handsome gent. He is really lucky to have landed in your keep for awhile
but I hope his forever home is just around the corner.
Thanks Taria, we have our fingers crossed for him.
Larry seems to be fitting in quite well. Maybe he should stay?

We love all our fosters but unfortunately the time is not right for us to adopt just yet. We’re sure Larry will find the home he deserves though:)
