Calling All Angels

“but if you could…do you think you would
trade it in
all the pain and suffering?
ah, but then you’d miss
the beauty of the light upon this earth
and the sweetness of the leaving

calling all angels
calling all angels
walk me through this one
don’t leave me alone”

-Jane Siberry “Calling All Angels”

  1. Checking in to let you know you are in our thoughts & hearts. Seeing an Aerosmith cover band tonight & will sing for you.
    Ben, peeps & fellas

  2. Dear Kona and family, This is my first time visiting here and I’m so sorry that you’ve been ill and ready to go to the bridge. This is such a sad time for your loved ones, my heart and prayers goes out to all of you. My old dog Reggie has a brain tumor and we are just watching and waiting for his time. My pups are always like my kiddos so it is especially hard when they get ill and also when friends get ill.
Run free dear Kona. We’ll be here checking on you every day. Noreen & Reggie-dog

  3. A family member stumbled upon your website via Mogley while struggling with losing our family dog Sophie, just before Kona became a permanent member of your family. We’ve kept up with your blog and have greatly enjoyed sharing the overwhelming joy of goldie companionship–I very much appreciate your efforts to document and share so many beautiful moments with the world. I was speechless when I saw that Kona is ill and my heart just aches for you all. Our paths may never cross but you are in our thoughts; my impression from the blog is that you have done right by your beautiful boy in every way. He will not know how long/short his life is, only how wonderful it is together with you. Wishing you many more beautiful moments.

  4. Dear Kona,

  6. Kona, I just found you and your family’s page a few weeks ago. In that short time I’ve seen so many similarities between our Riley now, and Bailey who crossed over before.

The worst part of loving a Golden child is having to lose them. It also seems to be the only way to come close to repaying the love they give all of their lives.

Riley and his family have you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. Bailey and many other Golden angels will be with you when you feel you are ready.

  7. Dear Kona, you will never be alone when you are surrounded by a loving family. Sweet dreams beautiful one. Hugs to all you and your family. Love Stella

  8. I feel truly gutted to think that you have been on this journey for some time and I’ve not known… I am so sorry.
Thanks to Mimi, I am able to come and offer you some support during these difficult days. I am so sorry for your and Kona’s plight.
My heartfelt thoughts, prayers and wishes of strength go to you . I really do understand the pain of this journey and the strength required to share it with the world. This deed alone, provides a legacy – from you and Kona – to others, who suffer similar plights. Thank you for doing this.
But for now, its your walk…with Kona. Be strong, reap every moment and know that you are greatly loved by all of us.
With lots of wishes for strength,
    MAXMOM IN SOUTH AFRICA

Evidently you and Kona have shared a special gift of two years together, but we fall in love with them in no time and miss them like crazy when they have to leave. We hope you have many more moments to share. Soft purrs and tail wags.
