Our last days in Arizona took us to the Saguaro National Park. Surrounding Tuscon, the park is home to thousands of classic saguaro and other cacti species. Saguaro are slow growing and can grow to be huge like this one…
There are many different shapes and sizes in the park.
This is an old saguaro in its last days.
On the way home we stopped along Route 66 in the town of Williams. It was rather chilly but we walked the downtown and took in the classic sights.
Kona had a great road trip and didn’t miss a thing…even at gas stops.
This trip was an incredible bonding experience for Kona and since our return home, he is more confident than we have ever seen him. I believe it is because he realizes we went all that way and then came home…his home.
Looking at those enormous cacti it seems nature has a was of expressing herself in so many ways, so we will never tire of our living planet. Great adventures in Arizona, Eh? :D
That is just pawsome that his confidence is back, hopefully in full swing! Great job!!!!!!
