Pet Therapy Friends

We’re back from the Thanksgiving holiday break and we hope everyone had a lovely long weekend. This week I took Kona to meet up with the dogs of Spencer‘s pet therapy speech group from Northridge Hospital. It was great to see everyone again and we were there to honor Sophia, who is retiring from pet therapy. Everyone loved Kona, dogs and people alike. We are getting ready to start the first part of his training to see if he could go on to be a therapy dog for the hospital. Here’s some pics of the gang:

  1. Kona..if I had dew claws, they would be crossed for you on the Therapy Dog road!!! I just became a Therapy Dog and my parents are beaming with joy. I will begin a very special program called Paws for Tails where my mom and I have K-3 graders read to me every week at school… what could be better than to hear “If You Give a Moose a Cookie” while a wee one is also petting me! Good Luck my fur buddy & tail wags to all.

  2. Woof! You will definitely be a GREAT Therapy Dog. I was for about 5 years. My mom plan to pursue other opportunities since I’m consider as an “old dog”. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar

  3. Hi beautiful Kona!!!! What a nice visit. We hope you do get to be a therapy dog at the hospital! Mom is trying to look into that for me too…..but, perhaps down the road, when I MELLOW OUT a bit!! :)

  4. Kona –
I know you can make it as a therapy dog. I am trying but after class #1 they said I had a way to go. Something about being TOO social….whatever that means.
Love that last pic of you smilin’. Your smile always brightens our day.
    Ben, the fellas and peeps
