Poor Titus. When he came into rescue he was un-neutered. Los Angeles requires all dogs to neutered (some exemptions apply with permits…seeing eye breeders, etc.) so Titus went in last week for the big op. He was a little groggy when I picked him up and he looked like a dog from space with his cone on.
He was so pathetic in the cone…bonking into walls and doors.
To make him feel better I went and got him an inflatable tire…ok, it’s a newfangled version of the cone. I have to say that due to the location of Titus’ incision, he could actually reach it with some twisting in this contraption but for the most part, the tire was a reminder not to chew there. I could also hear if he was trying to do anything to end up back at the vets. He seemed a lot happier with the tire.
He quickly figured out that the tire made a pretty good pillow too.
I’m happy to report Titus is feeling much better and doesn’t need to wear the tire anymore.
Augie and Ti recommend the tire too! We are going to have to get one because every allergy season Farley has to wear his cone because he chews his feet so bad. I like that your traditional cone has velcro. Glad Titus did well with his surgery!
LOL, where ever did you find that thing? What a great idea! Our dogs also would use it as a comfy pillow! LOL…

Uh oh….snip snip for poor Titus! He does looks quite sad in the cone. I love the tire! I have been looking for one of those. You will have to share with us were in the world you got that. I must not be putting in the right words to find one online….LOL He does look so very happy with his pretty blue tire on in the pics….much happier! I am so glad he is feeling all better now. He has such a beautiful smile! Lots of big warm hugs to you all from all of us…

Titus, we would say that the tire would be a good idea if it was attached to a sports car but not around your neck! Happy to know that it is history!
Aw Poor Guy!! I remember when I had to wear that too! It was awful! Glad to see you’re feeling better Titus! Hang in there bro!
