Brinkley

This is our latest foster dog, Brinkley. He dropped by this week and quickly made himself at home. Brinkley is a victim of the ongoing economic depression, he lost his home of the last 8 years. This sweet boy is very smart and knows lots of tricks. He LOVES stuffies and in typical Golden nature, has one in his mouth almost all the time. He is a big love bug and sticks very close to you. His head will always be under your hand for pets. Even though he is 8 years old, he has a lot of energy and likes to play fetch with either a stuffie, frisbee or a ball. Brinkley is a lot of fun and a love to have around. He would do best in a home with someone home during the day, no cats (he loves to chase them), and no small children. If you are interested in adopting Brinkley, please contact the Southern California Golden Retriever Rescue.

I also have an update that Buford has been adopted. We are so happy he finally has a home.

  1. Wow is so just so pretty! I just love both pics you took of him and especially the second. He is just too cute the way he carries his woobie around. Someone is going to be so lucky to get to have him as part of their family….
Hugs and love to you Brinkley from all of us,

  2. Woof! Brinkley is sure a good-looking Golden. Glad he found a good home.
You guys are doing such a great thing to a foster family. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar!

  3. What a beautiful boy! He looks just like Luna with that blonde coloring and with the stuffie in the mouth. I hope that he finds a home soon! I’m glad to hear that Buford has found a home.

  4. Brinkley is gorgeous and we are so sad for him and his circumstances. YOU are so wonderful to be doing the work that you do – it must be so hard – we think of you lots and are delighted that Buford found a forever home and… we are totally certain that Brinkley will also find one pronto. I have to tell you that my anti-spam word is “golden”! That’s gotta mean something! Happy Easter Brinkley – we’ll be thinking of you on Sunday’s hunt!!!!
    Hugsz and Love

  5. Hey M&S,
That’s great news about Buford. He was such a wreck when he came into rescue and it’s hard enough to adopt out older dogs like Buford. He is indeed fortunate. We sense the paw of Spencer involved here.

Brinley is sure a handsome fella. Did youse guys remember that Brinkley was the name of the Golden Retriever owned by the Tom Hanks’ character in the movie “You’ve Got Mail. Why not get Mr. Hanks to adopt Brinkley. Youse guys is probably neighbors. He might live just a couple of hydrants down the block. Heck, Los Angeles, Hollywood, Disneyland, etc. can’t be that much bigger than Bumpass.

Y’all have good weekend. Spencer is looking down on us and guiding us in all of this. He must be proud of how you’ve keep up the Spencer tradition.

  6. My friends family fosters dogs and it’s a great way to help these pooches in need.

It’s truly amazing how many, great, fun, loving and well trained dogs that people give up. I just don’t get it at times, but we need to do our part and adopt these dogs into our homes. It’s just not fair to see these guys and gals go homeless

You can see my pooches on my My.Arfie page -http://my.arfie.com/profile/FrankTorres.

Ones a rescue and the other is from a breeder. Rescuing all the way from now on.

  8. Hi Brinkley! My mom says you’re a handsome boy. I’m sorry you lost your home. That’s very sad, but I think you’ll meet a lot of nice people now who will take good care of you and make sure you have nice stuffies to carry around. I’m so glad to hear about Buford – it was sad how dirty and neglected he was. I’m glad he’s happy now.

    Happy Easter!

    Your pal,
    Joey

  9. Gosh… This is such a good idea, fostering a dog. We think we’re going to check out if this concept exists here in Portugal.

He seems to be such a lovely dog!

    Love
