Super Spencer.

I am still fighting my cancer and winning more good days than bad for now. My humans say even though I look like an old  softy, I proved I am tougher  than I look. This bag is a message for breast cancer but I think it could be for any cancer… it’s all bad stuff. I spend lots of time napping to keep my  strength  up.

And I love to bask in the sun in the afternoon. Luckily the weather has been pawsome this week… very sunny and warm.

I even went to the studio for a few hours one day. I napped on my orthopedic bed while my HM was noisy. I didn’t care, I can sleep through anything.

I can’t go on big walks anymore but I like to sit at the front door with my HD and watch the world go by.

And even though I feel like playing sometimes, I’m not supposed to run so we make up silly games, like squishy face. I’m the best at that game.

I want to say thanks to all my friends for all your wonderful words of support. Even though we don’t get online much now we get to read them every few days and it makes us all smile.

    How are you this weekend? I don’t enjoy all this rain, but my hm is keeping me busy with indoor games and such. I’m a little wound up though, I was playing with my kitties today.

  9. I absolutely love that that last picture of Spencer sleeping by the large window all tucked into his bed. He looks so contented and peaceful. I hope you are all doing okay during this so very bittersweet & sad time. Been there too, recently and wish Spencer only the best. xo

  17. We read about Spencer over at the Bumpass Hounds. We’ve been reading some of your posts and enjoying some of the photographs. Spencer is really photogenic. Such a handsome guy, even when asleep.

    We are so glad you are still feeling pretty good. We love your silly squishy face. When we play that game with our HD, he calls it our Shar-Pei face. Keep your chin up, we think about you often.

  20. Oh Super Spencer – we are so proud of you. You remind us SOOO much of our boy Rebel who battled the same disease. It was the spirit of the tennis ball that kept Rebel going much longer than predicted. Even as he crossed the Rainbow Bridge Rebel was surrounded by tennis balls, those who and was smiling into the sun. We wish the same for you.

My hm is a huge supporter and she is happy to see you are too! I love your squishy face – mine is pretty good too but I think you might win in that competition.   30. Spencer – you are so tough and lovable! I commend you for carrying a “banner” for the “cause” and think you are doing an incredible job of letting us know how you are and what’s up. I think about you so much and send kisses and prayers your way. Thanks for posting a link about this – I have printed a couple out and asked my vetdoc about it. You are educating me and probably lots of others. You look so comfy and cozy in those sunny places – we live a few hundred miles north of you in SF, but are getting the same weather. Nice! Me and my mom and dad send you tons of pawsitive thoughts. We love you Spencer!
