That’s what my HM calls me now because I keep going and going and going. Two weeks ago today they gave me two weeks to live when they diagnosed my cancer, hemangiosarcoma. Well, I guess they got that wrong, BOL! I decided to celebrate with a small game of catch.
Throw it, throw it, throw it, THROW IT!!!
Going for the retrieve….
and one more time!
Ah, nothing like a game of catch. I am using my pink tennis balls now to show my support for cancer research. We are supporting the National Canine Cancer Foundation for their good work. The humans picked them as their cause after losing Raja to bone cancer. Hopefully we can find some cures soon because too many of us pups (and humans) get this terrible disease. During my pet therapy trips, I used to sit with humans during their chemo treatments at the hospital. I saw a lot of survivors that I had previously met in the oncology ward so I know there is hope.
After all that fun I have to rest up so I have a nap with my favorite blanket.
I also got a “Love Ya” award from my buddies The Bumpass Hounds and Benson & Gibson. I send it right back to them all because they give out so much love to everyone!
Spencer,
I found wishes to you on The Bumpass Hounds website and ad to look you up. You are such a beautiful boy with a wonderful face. So very happy that you are proving the Dr.s wrong!! You are a love and in our thoughts always.
Spencie:
I feel so full of love and joy and hope each time I come here and see that you’re doing fine and happy! I want you to win this fight sooooooo much! And I’m hoping and praying that you will, sweet Spencer.
It’s like Theresa said: there’s something about you! It’s that peaceful and warm look of yours… and the huge heart you have. You sure teach us humans how to live, smile and be happy!
Let’s play, Spencie!
Lot’s of love from Portugal!

Dear Spencer –
Happy Valentine’s Day – there was never a better recipient of V’s Day wishes than you! We think of you often in our house and my mom said she got gooseflesh when she read this blog! (I love the smell of goose poop!). I just loved seeing you with the tennis balls and am so glad of your good fortune being able to play like that – especially since you have helped so many others weather this disease – you are WORTHY! I love you so much and I hope you are having a peaceful and loveable day!
With kisses, huge hugs and licks,
Sammie

Darling Sweet Spencer,
You are quite beautiful you know and I must confess you stole our hearts the first time Bobby and I read your blog. Little Whannh says he always thought about what it would be like to lie by your side snuggling by a fire in the fireplace. I admit to wondering how that would feel myself.
There is that special something about you and it seems that everywhere you go you are like a beacon of light. We secretly dreamed of having you as our cyber dog because you are just about perfect. Your golden fur and sweet, sweet face makes us want to hug you around your neck and hold your warm body next to our hearts. We cannot express how much we wish we could do something to make it all better. Perhaps if we didn’t believe it and held you in the light of healing energy, just maybe we could all pray you get better. We believe in miracles.
Your Mommy and Daddy are so fortunate to have a wonderful personality such as yours in their lives. I expect you make them feel, happy and complete. I wish we could do something to uplift them as it cannot be easy to believe this is happening. We will pray every day and light candles for you here:

Warmest love,
Theresa and Bobby

Woo-Hoo! So glad to see you up and around, chasing those tennis balls. With all the love you give, Spencer, everyday is Valentine’s Day !!!
Keep fighting and proving those docs wrong! Let them know that you need to be strong to continue your work to help others!
At our house, Althea decided she was “Best in Show” for the Westminister Kennel Club dog show. And then she ran around the house as if she were prancing in center ring. Were you “Best in Show” at your house, too?
Stay strong, our friend and hero! All paws up for Spencer !!!
Much love and licks
Althea and Buddy

We don’t know if this comment will get through on your blog page cuz your puter spamguard DOESN”T LIKE US AT ALL. We are blessed to have you for each “one more day/” We’re all going to The Rainbow Bridge at some point but we all wait for our own time. If you ain’t ready there aint no reason to be going yet/ Just take one day at a time and know that your HM and HD love you dearly and will be there for you when you need them. Although it may only be in spirit, rest assured that we will be there for you also. You will always be a part of our blog no matter what. You’re the only reason we started this stuff; we want to be like you and that’s a very hard standard to meet. Like we said, we “LOVE YA.”
