This Sunday I had my regular bath before going to pet therapy the next day. It was very hot outside so I had my bath outside. That way I got clean and I got cool too. It felt great. My human dad is really good at giving massages when he shampoos me….a little to the right there…ahhh!
After I am all clean I get the zooms and run around. I also like to wipe my ears but I have to stay on the towels so I don’t get dirty again. You have to make sure your butt is up in the air when you rub your ears, it’s the best technique.
Normally I would get a blow dry but because it was so hot out and there was a breeze, I just sat on my towel and air dried. I also got to keep an eye on the evil squirrels while I was drying. I ended up very fluffy in a very short time.
The next morning I was ready to go! I put on my bandana and ID badge and said “Let’s go!â€
When we got to the hospital we had a special surprise. They had made up new flyers with all the pet therapy dogs on it. We gave a lot of the new flyers to the patients we visited because it has a lot of interesting facts about pet therapy on the back of it. So it’s not only to look at all us good looking dogs, BOL! We walked all over the hospital and made a lot of humans smile. I love that part…oh yeah, the hugs and cookies are good too.
When I got home I was pretty tired so I had a good nap. It was a great time!
