It’s a lot of work fostering 2 puppies at the same time…especially when you’re a 10 year old dog! The kids are so full of energy I can’t keep up. Even the humans are running around like crazy. Things at the studio are very busy right now, too so it’s been like a precision operation here at camp Spencer. Fric and Frac keep everyone on their toes but how can you resist this?
The kids really bonded with each other. Whether it was playing full on chasing the hose spray…. (Oh yes, these are true water dogs!)
…or relaxing on the sofa…
… they were having a lot of fun until yesterday when Jessy got spayed. Los Angeles has a new law that requires all dogs (except exempted registered breeders, working and assistance dogs) to be spayed or neutered at the age of 4 months. Poor Jessy had her operation and came home very groggy. Sunny was very concerned about her. She cleaned Jessy when she came home from the hospital and stayed very close to her all night.
Then this morning Sunny headed off to Homeward Bound Golden Retriever Rescue & Sanctuary to find her forever home. She is a sweet girl and we know some special family will love her a lot and take good care of her. Jessy was looking for Sunny everywhere after she left.
Even I kind of miss the kid jumping all over me and her silly little antics like lounging under the dining room table.
I hope you have a Great life kid; it’s been good knowing you! You’re going to be one pawsome Golden!

I found you from Lorenza’s blog and I think you could give me some good advice. I just got a puppy pal. I’m having boundary issues with the little guy. I had to put away all my toys and chewies because he always wants whatever is in my mouth even though I tell him to back off! Do you think he will ever learn?

Thanks for dropping by! It’s hard for the pups to learn sometimes. Jessy learned right awat but Sunny tested me a lot. It depends on their personalities. I’m sure it will get worked out for you as soon as you establish your pack order.

AWWW….I’m gonna miss seeing the little pup. My mom and dad have talked about getting foster pups for me, but I’m 8 years old now and love my naps!
Awww, look at them sleeping & playing together… They6’re like best friends! Oh wow, spayed so fast? Hmm, the reason why my hooman M don’t want to spay me at a very young age is becoz I will look like Chloe. Chloe was spayed too soon at the age of 5 mths & now she’s all grown up & fat eventhough her diet is strictly controlled! She also has no shape & hips. I hope Jessie will not be like Chloe too… I hope I won’t be like her too once I’m spayed.
