I’m happy to report that Jessy has fully recovered from her spay operation. She woke up after a full 7 hours of sleep (oh yes, I enjoyed that…this old dog loves to sleep in!) ready to play and ravenous because her food had to be limited for the past 2 days due to the operation.
Jessy is a natural at retrieving. She’ll go get whatever you throw (even a lime, BOL!) and bring it back to you. We Goldens just have that in us. She got lots of new toys after her operation so she played with them all. She’s as spoiled as me and niether of us mind at all.
It was pretty hot today here in Los Angeles so we lounged around and waited for it to cool off. In the evening we went for a big walk.
I’ve been teaching the kid how to read pee-mail.
Jessy loves to go on walks just like me. She likes to smell everything because she’s still learning about the world. I just follow along and watch her.
We stopped to check out what a big fat lab was saying. I think he wanted us to come over and play but we wanted to keep walking.
When we got home we hung out in the front yard while the humans planted some new flowers.
Jessy enjoyed seeing all the action…humans walking by (they even come over and pet us!), a helicopter that flew over and butterflies. Ah, to be a young pup!
Hi Spencer!
I´m glad to hear that Jessie is ok! You are as a brother for Jessy. You look so beautiful walking together!

Hi there Spencer!
So glad to hear Jessie’s operation went well :) You guys look so cute hanging out together! Can she fit 5 tennis balls in her mouth too ? :D
Hi, Spencer!
Glad to hear that Jesse is full recovered! I am not a puppy any more but I love to take my time to sniff everything when I go out for walkies and I am an expert reading pee-mails!
I hope you are having a great weekend!
Kisses and hugs

Hi! My name is Rusty, I’m a Great Yorkie. That’s what mom calls me anyway. I like to have fun and chase squirrels. I Came here from Thoughts Fur Paws. They said some really nice things about you and they were right! You look really nice and my mom says it is nice of your mom to help poor little puppies find a forever home! I like your blog and I’ll come back to visit more.
WOOF!
Rusty
I can’t retrieve. I just can’t. I love to chase the stuff my human throws… hmm… must be my shetland sheepdog blood. Gimme a sheep anyday, haha..
Woof,
Latte
You know Spencer, we think it’s SO cool that Retrievers actually RETRIEVE things!
i often see retrievers go past my house with different interesting things they like to carry – how clever!
People are always throwing stuff for me to fetch, and well, that’s not what i do!
Sometimes i just stand there looking at them, and they throw my ball at me, and it bounces off my head.
Ha! THAT makes them feel guilty!!
Now, standing and looking – i’m good at that. I can STARE for AGES.
Maybe we should send some Frog Ted pups to you for retrieval training!
Jessy has got such a goofy face but in a cute way…hehehe! It’s a good sign when a dog is natural at retrieving anything you throw or even if you don’t throw anything but the dog just picks up anything on the ground to show it off to their hoomans… Chloe is natural with this. As for me, I had to be taught becoz I hate putting things in my mouth besides my tennis ball!
Love licks,
Solid Gold Dancer
