This weekend I went to be an ambassador at the Golden Retriever Club of Greater Los Angeles Rescue’s adoption event. This is the rescue that my human parents fostered and then adopted me from. I dressed up in my pumpkin bandana and was a shining example of what a rescue dog can be. I got lots of pets and met many great Goldens too! I hope they all find nice homes. If you think you’d make a good home, please adopt and save a life.

what a lucky day for all of you when you were adopted. You look – and sound – like a very special dog. Over the last year my friends Nancy and David have adopted 2 older goldens from a rescue group, and of course, they are madly in love with them.
My rescue dog is a mutt – but I love her just the same! (You can see her goofy picture on my blog!)
Dear Spencer…I hope you are safe & well & far away from all the smoke & fire up your way….I had to evacuate from my house this week..luckily all is well again & my toys are all still there…I was only allowed to take 3 toys in my suitcase…it was horrible…

That’s great that you had the opportunity to do that. I belong to a group of artists who donate part of the proceeds from their art to animal charities. I would love to paint your portrait for our auction to benefit the animals displaced by the fires in Southern California. We will be donating the proceeds to the Humane Society of the United States. Pawesome!! Yes, my dog walker rescued three Golden’s from our local Golden Rescue agency. I’m hoping my humans will rescue me a fur-sibling soon!

GRCGLA Rescue is the best !! We hope other humans will think about providing a good home for us beautiful Goldens, because we need the pets and belly rubs, not to mention more treats!
Buddy was rescued by GRCGLA Rescue from a county shelter, having been on the streets for weeks! Althea was losing her home, with nowhere to go. Luckily the Rescue came in, saved us and Julie said, ‘come live with me!’ Since then, we’ve been treated to a life of love and royalty, just like you Spencer!
You are a great example of the perfect ambassador for Golden Retreiver Rescue. Let’s hope all the other dogs find permanent loving homes, soon – even if they’re not Goldens!
