Every morning I watch some squirrels. They walk across the phone lines behind my house so they don’t have to walk through my yard past me. Sometimes they run very quickly across. Sometimes they stop and balance, like it’s a tight rope act. And sometimes they stop and yell at me and then run off. They are very sassy! They go back and forth, back and forth, all morning. They never fall off but I am waiting. I wonder what they are up to, those crazy squirrels.

Squirrels are lots of fun to chase. Once my sister, Shadow, and I played tug of war with one. Our mom wasn’t very happy. I hate when they sit up high and look down and you and chatter and chatter. So rude!
